How To Live A Longer Life.

Imagine living 70, 80, 90 years of quality health. What’s the key word? Quality. Imagine living that type of life not dependent on medications or surgeries. Imagine experiencing predictable health, meaning that you know exactly where your health will be 20-30 years from now. Retiring, playing with grandkids, lying the on the beach with your spouse. Doing all the things you love to do and saving yourself hundreds of thousands of dollars of sick medical debt and bankruptcy. Do you think it’s possible to live a life like that? Most importantly, do you believe you are worthy of living the best possible life that you were created to live? I’m here to tell you, that yes, when your body is functioning the way it was created to, it is possible to live that type of life.

So what is health? Millions of people assume that if you look good or if you feel good, you must be healthy, right? The problem with basing your health on how you look or feel would mean that everyone is healthy until you look bad or feel bad. But when it comes to your greatest asset, your health, is that something you want to be proactive about or reactive? Waiting till you look or feel bad is a very reactionary way of taking care of your health. Unfortunately, for us, the biggest disease killers in the United States are the ones you don’t feel at all.  For instance, those with heart disease, cancer or even diabetes are usually caught unaware of their condition until very advanced stages of the disease. Those people did not get sick or have symptoms “all of sudden”, but slowly, over time. More people are dying from things they don’t feel, than things they do feel and that’s frightening.

Don’t get me wrong, symptoms should not be ignored, rather honored. Because what are symptoms? They’re the body’s way of alerting you that something is functioning poorly and needs to be addressed. Symptoms can be likened to a fire alarm. If your fire alarm goes off, does it tell you where the fire is? No. If firemen came to your home, do they simply knock down the fire alarm to shut it off? No. In fact, you can do whatever you like to the fire alarm, but if you don’t address the real issue, the fire itself, eventually your house is going to burn down. The reality is this: you can mask symptoms with medications or other modalities all you want, but unless you address the cause, you’ll be doing more harm to your body than good.

Since its inception, chiropractic has asserted that true health is accredited to a properly functioning nervous system. The nervous system controls all functions of the body, including your immune system and your ability to heal. By correcting spinal abnormalities that place undue pressure on the nerves, causing interference, chiropractic care can have a significant effect on overall health.

Even though you are not sick, your body may be acquiring misalignments of the spine that are interfering with your nervous system and slowly diminishing your health. Regular chiropractic check-ups can help you to maintain a healthy body and stave off illnesses. A chiropractic adjustment will restore the balance of your nervous system and restore the flow of energy and information throughout the body, thus validating one of the great benefits of chiropractic care!
